Congressman Chris Collins, a Western New York Republican, is one of two representatives named to serve as co-chairs of a U.S. House Leadership Committee for presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The other leader is Congressman Duncan Hunter of California.
The two Congressmen will lead outreach efforts to their fellow members of Congress in support of Trump's campaign.
Trump issued a statement calling them "conservative stalwarts" who share his vision of securing borders, strengthening the military and treating veterans with "the respect and care they deserve."
In February, Collins endorsed Donald Trump for President, becoming the first sitting member of Congress to do so.
