Reilich Appointed to Governor's Small Business Task Force

Greece, NY – Assemblyman Bill Reilich has been appointed to Governor Paterson's Small Business Task Force.

Reilich, who is himself a business owner, asked to be on the subcommittee that deals with government regulations. Reilich says that's an area where he can help make an immediate impact for small businesses.

Reilich says some of the regulations affecting small business make "no sense." In one case, Reilich says a constituent was fined $1000 by the State Liquor Authority for submitting an application a week early.

Reilich says there more appreciation in Albany for the efforts of small business owners. He's hopeful that something can be done soon to improve the small business climate in New York.

Reilich says small businesses employ 52 percent of the workers in New York. And he says most of those companies employ five people or fewer.

Reilich owns Reilich Corporation, the former Upstate Alarm.
