On the eve of its opening with Eastman Opera, Music director Benton Hess and Stage Director Johnathon Pape stopped in to our studios to chat with Julia Figueras. They talked about what makes Mozart so special, the pleasure of working with living composers, and exactly what one should do--and expect--at auditions.
