WXXI, RMSC and several other community partners are working together to promote awareness about racial issues and to foster meaningful conversations about we can improve our understanding of one another. WXXI's reporting on RACE: Are We So Different? is supported by a grant from the New York Council for the Humanities.

RACE: Are We So Different?

Earlier this month, the WXXI Listening Booth was open at the Rochester Museum and Science Center, recording stories of people visiting the exhibit RACE: Are We So Different?. The exhibit looks at the science and biology of race, as a means of creating dialogue and fostering understanding. Quite a few visitors shared their own experiences and their reactions to the exhibit.
