Public Market Gets Musical
By Carlet Cleare
Rochester, NY – The Rochester community will be able to shop and rock to music for more days and longer hours at the Rochester Public Market this summer.
The Night Markets and popular Bands on the Bricks series will take place on eight Fridays this summer, and open up earlier to catch the people just getting off from work. Jim Farr is the assistant director of Recreation for the city. He says he hopes the additional days and new vendors will draw more people to the Marketview Heights neighborhood.
Farr says the event usually pulls in up to 3-thousand people. The will be able to jam to live performances by groups including Donna the Buffalo and the Marshall Tucker Band.
And enjoy an array of food, beer and wine through the months of July and August. The Night Markets event kicks off Friday, July 9th and runs from 5:00 to 10:30 at night.
