State Police were called Saturday morning after a person reported seeing a suspicious person near the woods along interstate 390 near Vintage Lane, where people have been reporting damage to their vehicles.
Police tell Time Warner Cable News that they did not find anyone when they searched the wooded area along 390 near Vintage Lane. They say they brought out a police dog to the area to help investigate.
During that investigation police got a separate call about a vehicle that may have had a rock that hit a windshield near 390 and Ridge Road, leaving a minor mark. They say it might have been a stone chip.
Police continuing to follow up on leads in connection with the dozen or so incidents that have happened on area highways since mid-April.
