Emmi Roth USA, a producer of premium specialty cheeses and dairy products is expanding and adding 50 jobs in Penn Yan.
The company's plant in Penn Yan makes Siggi's brand yogurt as well as milk and creamers for food service dispensers. Governor Cuomo says the company's plant is currently at capacity and they need to invest in the facility to grow their market share in North America.
Emmi Roth is investing $11.6 million in the expansion. New York State is providing up to $400,000 in tax credits, which are tied to job creation and company investments in that facility.
New York State is now the nation's leader in yogurt production.
