Brighton Police say a man in his mid 20s was killed after being struck while in the area of railroad tracks near the old can of worms, just east of 590 on Friday afternoon.
Police say the man, who has not been identified yet, was on private property and not near any railroad crossing when he was struck by a westbound Amtrak train.
There were more than 100 passengers and crew on the train, and none of them were injured. The train was stopped at the scene of the accident for a couple of hours.
Police will review video from cameras on the train as part of the investigation.
