Paterson Speaks Post-Vetoes

Albany, New York –
Governor David Paterson sat down with WXXI's Capitol correspondent Karen DeWitt, one day after issuing vetoes of portions of the legislature's budget. The governor held out hope for negotiations, saying there is one thing he still wants from the legislature, a back up plan in case some federal health care monies fall through. The governor says he wants to avoid a new $1 billion dollar gap from opening up in the budget.
