A Parma man is in critical condition after he was allegedly shot by two other men who police say were target shooting without a backdrop.

Monroe County deputies say 42-year old Kevin Flannery was working on his property at 629 Moul Road in Parma at about 4:45 Tuesday afternoon when he was shot in the abdomen.

Deputies responded to the scene and could hear gunshots being fired in the distance. They say 34-year old Ryan G. Pellman and 35-year old Matthew E. Rodgers were shooting at paper targets about 800 yards south of Flannery's property without a protective backdrop.

Both men have been arraigned in Parma Town Court on charges of assault and reckless endangerment. They were sent to the Monroe County Jail and released on bail.
