Overlook At Taughannock Falls State Park Renovated

Office of NY Gov. Cuomo/NYS Parks

TRUMANSBURG, N.Y. (AP) — The overlook area at Taughannock Falls State Park in the Finger Lakes has undergone a $1.9 million renovation.

The park in Trumansburg near Cayuga Lake has new overlook picnic areas, native plant gardens, a redesigned parking area and an information station.

Indigo bush, witch hazel, eastern red cedars and basswood are among the native plants and trees integrated into the redesign.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the work at Taughannock Falls State Park will attract more visitors and bring in more tourism dollars.
