Outages Affected Thousands Early Wed. Morning

On a morning when the temperature dipped below zero, RG&E crews repaired an outage impacting about 4700 customers in parts of Henrietta, Pittsford, Perinton and Mendon.

An RG&E spokesman says the problem Wed. morning  involved an issue with a high voltage circuit on a substation in Henrietta which in turn affected two other substations.

The outages were restored just before 7:30 a.m.

NYSEG also reported around 1400 customers without power in Mendon.
