Ontario County manufacturer is adding 40 jobs

An Ontario County-based company is adding 40 jobs over the next five years.

That according to officials with the state’s economic development agency, Empire State Development, who say that G.W. Lisk, which makes electromechanical products used in the aerospace, defense, highway, and oil & gas market is expanding its research and development operations.

Officials say the expansion will also help retain more than 650 employees at Lisk’s other facilities in Ontario County.

Empire State Development has offered up to $600,000 in tax credits to the company. The credits are linked to the creation of the new jobs.

The project is expected to be completed next spring. It will include the renovation of Lisk’s 17,000 square foot R & D facility as well as the purchase of new equipment.
