The Ontario County District Attorney will prosecute Rochester City Court Judge Leticia Astacio, who has been charged with drunk driving.
Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley asked for an out-of-county prosecutor to avoid possible conflicts, and Ontario County D-A Mike Tantillo was chosen for the prosecution.
Astacio was ticketed by State Police on a misdemeanor DWI charge after troopers responded to I-490 near Mt. Read Boulevard on February 13th.
Since that charge, Astacio has been hearing only civil cases.
Astacio is due back in court on Friday.
