One Person Killed In Rochester Fire

Rochester Fire officials are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found after firefighters responded to a house at 294 Fernwood Avenue on Tuesday night. They found a bedroom fire when they got there.

Firefighters found the body of the woman in the room where the fire started. She was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her identity has not been released yet.

The cause of the fire  is still being investigated.

The Red Cross was called in to help two adults and five children who needed a place to stay because of the fire. There were no other injuries at the scene of the fire.
