Officials Say University Of Rochester President's Surgery Was Successful

The President of the University of Rochester is recovering after recent surgery.  Joel Seligman had surgery last Friday at Strong Hospital to remove a small nodule from the outside of his lung.

Officials say his surgery was successful and he expects to be out of the office for a few weeks while he recovers.  University Provost Peter Lennie remains in charge during Seligman's recuperation.

The 64 year old Seligman was treated for non-Hodgkins Lymphoma several years ago, but this surgery was not felt to be related to that illness.
