NYS Approves Funding For Two Local Projects

Governor Cuomo is announcing $22 million in funding for 11 projects including two in the Rochester area.

Empire State Development has approved $5 million for the Health Sciences Center For Computational Innovation. The University of Rochester will use the money toward some facility improvements and the installation of supercomputing software, which will be used for health research.

The state also approved a grant of up to $4 million to help with the development of Midtown Tower which will eventually include a mix of residential, commercial and retail space.
