Nurses to Play Bigger Role in Health Care

This is National Nursing Week, to coincide with the May 12 birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

Nurses will play a larger role in health care with the phase-in of the Affordable Care Act, according to Cheryl Sheridan, Chief Nursing Officer at Rochester General Hospital.  She spoke with us on Morning Edition today about the changing and expanding role of nurses in our community and nationwide.
