A New Supervisor In The Town Of Greece

Monroe County GOP Chairman Bill Reilich
Monroe County GOP Chairman Bill Reilich

The Town of Greece has a new supervisor for the first time in 16 years. Bill Reilich, who spent 12 years in the State Assembly,  takes over for John Auberger who could not run again because of term limits.

Reilich says it will be a change moving from the state to the local level, but he feels he can have more of an impact.

"When you’re at the state level as an assemblyman, you're one of 150 votes, as supervisor you work with a town board of four other members, it's much easier to make progress and improve things ."

Reilich says one of his main priorities is to be mindful of taxpayer dollars, and look for efficiencies in town government.

Reilich, who is still chairman of the Monroe County Republican Party, is part of an all- Republican town board, since the incumbents were returned to office in November.
