New Main Entrance for Area Hospital

Unity Health
Part of Unity Hospital's expansion project

Unity Hospital unveiled its new entrance, atrium and concourse today, part of Unity Health's 160-million dollar Modernization and Expansion Project.

Vice President, surgical and ancillary services for Unity Health System, Bob Donahue, says they focused on creating a warm, welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

And that will be their first impression when they arrive.

He says the new entrance contains a bright and open atrium, and expanded drop off area, and 200 additional parking spaces.

Donahue adds Guest Services volunteers staff the main welcome and greeting area, and they provide concierge services to help with dining and lodging for visitors not familiar with the area.

The final phase of the expansion project, including larger private patient rooms, more beds, more free parking and a new cafe and lobby.

It's expected the project will be finished by May.
