There's a new education director for the Finger Lakes Museum. Keuka Lake native Mike Sulllivan has been named to the post. Sullivan says he wants to make sure kids and adults have a place to engage in natural science activities, or explore cultural history. He says the idea is to get people outside to explore the region. Sullivan says the museum acts as a venue to celebrate the Finger Lakes region. He says they want people to know this is a very participatory experience, and no other museum embraces the entire region the way the Finger Lakes Museum does, by celebrating the cultural and natural history, past, present and future. Sullivan says he's "hitting the ground running," introducing a number of new outreach and education initiatives.
