Netflix releases some information about car show filmed here

Spectrum News

We’re learning more about the show that was being filmed recently at Eastman Business Park.

Netflix says the film shoot that involved race cars at various hours of the day and night was for a show called Hyperdrive, billed as a “high stakes tournament series where daring drivers from across the globe compete for the glory on one of the largest automotive obstacle courses ever constructed.”

Netflix says it will be a 10 episode production that will launch in 2019.

On Tuesday, Netflix also announced other car-related shows including “Car Masters: Rust to Riches,” which is about turning “rusty wrecks” into “six-figure paydays.”  That series launches September 14.

And the media company’s ‘Faster Car Season 2’ launches next year.

The recent filming at Eastman Business Park had brought some initial complaints about noise from the park due to the cars racing late at night. But the production company made some changes to the filming including moving a practice station farther away from homes on Merrill Street.
