Natcore Technology To Move HQ To Rochester

A high tech company that already has some operations in Rochester now says it will move its headquarters here as well.

Natcore Technology already had offices on Water Street in Rochester, and research and development operations at the Eastman Business Park. But  the headquarters for the solar technology company has been in Red Bank New Jersey. Now, CEO Chuck Porvini says, it just makes sense to consolidate operations and move the headquarters to downtown Rochester as well.

He says this has been a good place to do business, especially with the facilities Natcore has available to it at the Eastman Business Park.

“We have a 19,000 square foot facility, we have an eight thousand square foot clean room, it’s a great facility, we have all our own equipment in there.”

Provini says with the move, Natcore will add about 10 jobs in Rochester. He says this area has produced a lot of good talent for his team.

“My experiences in Rochester have all been good. The people that we have hired, mostly from Kodak, are absolutely quality people, well trained, strong ethics, just great people.”

Natcore is involved in developing technology to make solar cells more efficient and with a more environmentally friendly manufacturing process.
