Before the Indiana boy became infected with HIV through a contaminated blood treatment in the 1984, AIDS was widely associated with gay men.
More than 20 years after Ryan's death, his mother Jeanne White Ginder, still crusades for victims of AIDS. She's speaking this morning at the Catholic Charities Community Services breakfast.
She recently talked to us about her ongoing efforts and how the AIDS discussion has changed over the last three decades. You can hear that conversation by clicking on the audio link above.
