We're getting some more details about President Obama's visit to Upstate New York next week. He will be in the region on Thursday and Friday, although he is not scheduled to make any stops in Rochester.

The president will speak at the University at Buffalo on Thursday, and  will also speak at SUNY schools in Syracuse as well as a high school in that city.

Next Friday, Obama will host a town hall event at Binghamton University and then deliver remarks at Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Among the topics the president is expected to cover next week are his proposals to help the middle class and the need for affordability in higher education.
