Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo says she is conducting a nationwide search for a Chief Economic Development Officer. Dinolfo says this person will play a vital role in her administration, to help connect skilled workers with employment opportunities.
The staffer will lead the county's department of planning and development, and also serve as executive dirctor for COMIDA, the Monroe County Industrial Development Corporation and the Greater Rochester Outdoor Sports Facility Corporation.
The position has duties similar to those previously held by Judy Seil, who left the county to take a job in the private sector last year.
The position will pay between about $96,000 and $122,000 a year.
