Monroe County officials say that temporary repairs are being made to get the county office building on West Main Street open in time for Monday after a car crashed into that building early Sunday morning.
Rochester Police say that just before 5:30 a.m., a car traveling west left the roadway and struck that building at 39 W. Main, causing damage to both the car and the building.
The driver and his passenger were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Police say that speed and alcohol appear to have been factors and on Monday 30 year old Tyrone Reeves of Rochester was charged with DWI.
Temporary repairs were made to reopen the building on Monday. Officials say more permanent repairs will be discussed at a later time.
