Memorial Day Parade marches through Rochester

The Annual Memorial Day Parade in Rochester marched through the center city Monday morning.

It couldnt have felt more like summer, under a big sun and blue sky marking the unofficial start of the season. Main Street smelled like kettle corn and sunscreen as families lined the sidewalks of downtown.

Local Veterans Joseph Jones and Nathan Harris took a moment to reflect on their years of service.

Samuel Lotemple was parked on State Street and Main watching his son who was in the parade, and is a member of the Sea Cadet program.

"Memorial Day is remembering veterans and firefighters and policemen that gave their lives for this country and our way of life."

Some familes were enjoying the weather and time together, like Wayne Roberts and his grandsons
