Members Of The Glazer Family To Serve As Co-Chairs For WXXI Campaign

WXXI Public Broadcasting and the Little Theatre announced today that Ken Glazer, Rick Glazer and Mindy Glazer MacLaren will serve as Honorary Co-Chairs of the final phase of the $17 million “Go Public” Campaign to secure the future of these iconic Rochester institutions.

Originally Co-Chaired by the late Larry and Jane Glazer, the campaign has already raised millions of dollars that have been invested in improvements in the radio and television signals of WXXI, the digital transition of the Little Theatre, and programming and endowment needs.  Through their participations as Honorary Co-Chairs, the Glazer siblings will provide the leadership to successfully complete the campaign.

“My brother, sister and I are proud to carry on our parents’ legacy of support for WXXI and the Little Theatre,” said Ken Glazer, Managing Partner of Buckingham Properties. “We were brought up on WXXI programming and our mom and dad were big fans and longtime volunteers. They knew the importance of a strong public broadcaster and an independent theatre to the vibrancy of our community.”

Thanks to generous donations of many local organizations and individuals, the campaign currently stands at $14 million in commitments. The “public phase” of the Campaign was launched on October 30, 2014. Now, the public is invited to help WXXI and the Little Theatre reach their $17 million goal to better serve the community.

“We are honored to have Ken, Rick, and Mindy as Honorary Co-Chairs of the public phase of this campaign and are grateful that they are keeping their parents’ legacy alive,” said WXXI and Little Theatre President Norm Silverstein.  “It is, and always will be, Larry and Jane’s Campaign and together we will successfully finish it to honor their memory.”
