Rochester, NY – A new program at Monroe Community College is designed to help it's Hispanic students stay in school and complete their education.
In 2010--Hispanic enrollment at the college surged to an all-time high of 1331 students.
But many educators are finding the retention rate for these students is not rising as well.
Dean of Students at the Damon City Campus Dr. Ann Topping says the new program will address the cultural and academic barriers hindering their career success.
According to Dr. Topping The new Latina student retention program will be up and running in the Spring.
