McAlpin Industries adding jobs in Wayne County

A local company is expanding and adding at least two dozen jobs. That according to Governor Cuomo who says McAlpin Industries is opening a new manufacturing plant in Walworth.

The family-owned metal working company will also continue its operations in Rochester, where it has been headquartered for more than 50 years and employs 148 people.

The state's economic development agency, Empire State Development, is providing up to $400,000 in tax credits in return for job creation. McAlpin is investing nearly $5.9 million in the project
