Mayor Warren among the NY electors voting today for president

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP & WXXI News)  New York's 29 members of the Electoral College are meeting in Albany.

The group is expected to support Democrat Hillary Clinton at the gathering at noon Monday in the Senate chambers in the state Capitol.

WXXI-TV's World channel will carry the electoral proceedings from Albany.

WXXI World can be viewed over-the-air on Digital Television channel 21.2 as well as on Time Warner Cable channel 1275.

Despite winning New York, Clinton lost the race for the White House to Republican Donald Trump.

New York's electors include Gov. Andrew Cuomo, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and former President Bill Clinton, all three Democrats who supported Hillary Clinton.

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren is among a group of electors who have signed a letter saying they think members of the Electoral College should receive national intelligence briefings following allegations of Russian interference in the election.

Among the other electors who signed the letter, Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner and Senate Minority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
