Monroe County deputies are investigating a fatal hunting accident in the town of Rush that happened Tuesday evening.
Deputies say at about 5:30 p.m. they were called to the incident that happened in a remote area.
Authorities say preliminary indications are that people were in a heavily wooded area when a family member shot an adult male relative. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say the location of the incident is about a half mile north of Honeoye #6 Road and a half mile east of West Henrietta Road.
