Rochester Mayor-Elect Lovely Warren is among a group of 16 mayors or mayors-elect from around the country scheduled to meet with President Obama on Friday.
According to The Hill newspaper, White House secretary Jay Carney said the president would discuss ways in which the administration could help the mayors improve job opportunities in their cities.
Carney said mayors understand that smart investments in things like manufacturing and infrastructure help provide good jobs for middle class families.
Mayors or mayors-elect attending the meeting besides Warren include New York City’s mayor-elect, Bill de Blasio.
