A local maker of commercial trucking equipment is expanding and adding more than 50 jobs in the process.

Governor Cuomo has announced that EkoStinger will move from its current location in Henrietta to a new, larger facility on Despatch Drive in East Rochester.

The company will create 53 new full-time jobs and retain seven existing jobs. EkoStinger makes a system for tractor trailers that protects the bottom of the trailer while also increasing fuel economy.

Empire State Development is offering up to $450,000 through the Excelsior Jobs Program in exchange for job creation commitments.

The total project cost is about $1.4 million dollars.
