A well-known local business leader has died. David Reh died last Saturday at the age of 77.

He was Chairman of Gorbel, Inc. in Victor and also the founder and owner of Ravenwood Golf Club.

Reh previously was president of the Raytec Group and Hantek, Inc., and he was also a 2011 inductee into the Rochester Business Hall of Fame.

David Reh grew up in Orchard Park, and graduated from Clarkson University.  On a blog on the Gorbel website, Reh’s son Brian, who is president and CEO of the company, said that his father’s “roots began on the farms of Orchard Park, NY and his branches have since enabled the growth of multiple businesses, communities and countless individuals.”

In October 2017, Clarkson University honored Reh by naming its business school, the “David D. Reh School of Business.”

Calling hours are Thursday, August 23 from 3-7pm at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, Egypt Location, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd., Fairport.

The funeral is Friday, 2pm at Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Ave., Rochester. You can read the full obituary here.
