Local Arrests Part of National Methylone Investigation

Federal authorities announced the arrests of 54 people nationwide in connection with the acquisition and distribution of the synthetic drug Methylone, known as "Molly."
U-S Attorney William Hochul Methylone can be deadly.

He says a Rochester resident recently  succumbed to an overdose of Methylone and another drug mixture.
Hochul says the drug is made in China and is easily imported.
He says the public needs to be vigilant against the threat these drugs, like Methylone, represent.

The eight people arrested in Rochester range in age from 18 to 28 and face up to 20 years in jail and a one million dollar fine, or both.
