Lake Town Visits: More Than Meets the Eye in Little Lodi
By Eleanor Johnstone
Rochester, NY – Thousands of tourists are flocking to the Finger Lakes region this summer. They're touring the wineries, shopping for antiques, hiking, biking, fishing and swimming.
At some point in their travels, most visitors will stop to admire the view from a hilltop above one of the lakes. But few will take a close-up look at one of the region's most intriguing features: the small town lives of people who live here year round.
WXXI's team of journalists each picked a different Finger Lakes county out of a hat, and then went there to spend a little time in those small lake towns.
In the first installment of our weekly Reporter's Notebook series called Lake Town Visits, WXXI's Eleanor Johnstone takes us to Seneca County -- where she found a ghost town teeming with life.
