Kodak says talks on sale of Prosper business will stretch into next year

Kodak announced Wednesday it will take longer than originally expected to sell its commercial inkjet business called Prosper.

Back in March, the company said that business has a lot of potential, but it would be better served by a company with a larger sales and distribution network.

This week, Kodak said it had anticipated announcing an agreement for the sale of the Prosper business by the end of this year. The company’s president for Enterprise Inkjet and Micro 3D Printing & Packaging, Philip Culimore says Kodak remains in talks with potential buyers but it now expects those discussions to continue into next year.

He says the Prosper business has been very strong over the first nine months of this year. Kodak is now evaluating ways to streamline the Prosper press business to maximize performance and address marketing opportunities.
