Kodak Lays Off 70 People In Rochester

www.kodak.com

Kodak is laying off 70 people in Rochester.  The company says they are part of 85 jobs being cut at various locations, as Kodak works to re-engineer some of its operations.

A statement issued by the company says that Kodak is working to improve its supply chain and ensure that costs are aligned with business priorities and financial commitments.  Kodak says the cuts will not impact delivery of products or service to its customers.

It's one of the largest layoffs since Kodak came out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy a year ago. Kodak employed about 2300 people locally as of the end of last year.
