Eastman Kodak's Board of Directors has elected a new chairman. He is James Continenza, who has been a Kodak director since April.

He replaces Antonio Perez who remains a member of the board.  Perez remains as CEO, but the plan approved as Kodak recently emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy is that Perez will step down as soon as his successor is chosen.

In a statement, Continenza said that "Kodak is a company poised for growth. I look forward to providing leadership as the company realizes its potential as a technology company focused on the packaging, graphic communications, and functional printing markets."

The 51 year old Continenza also serves on a number of other boards.
