There are now a total of 18 jurors, 12 for the jury and six alternates.

Jury selection has been going on all week, and hundreds of people were screened in the process. The trial may last about a month.

The 39 year old Johnson faces charges that include aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder and assault.

As to the makeup of the 12-member jury, 8 men and 4 women were selected. Two of those jurors are racial minorities.

One juror and six alternate jurors were selected on Friday.

Justice Tom Moran has said he'd like to see opening statements presented Monday morning. That's when District Attorney Sandra Doorley and defense attorney James Hinman will lay out their cases to the jury.
