Jim Kelly Being Treated For Recurrence Of Cancer

bleacherreport.com

Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly is being treated for a  recurrence of his cancer.  Last year, cancer was found in his upper jaw after he underwent oral surgery to remove a cyst.

Surgery removed some teeth and part of his jaw, but chemotherapy and radiation were not deemed necessary at that time.

The Erie County Medical Center has released a statement which says recent testing determined his cancer has returned.

It says that its team of head and neck cancer specialists is determining a course of treatment that will allow  Kelly to battle this cancer successfully. The statement says that Jim Kelly has asked people to keep him and his family in their thoughts and prayers.

WGRZ TV in Buffalo says it has learned that Kelly will leave on Monday for New York City to be treated.
