Jamie Romeo Named To Lead The Monroe County Democratic Committee

TWC News

The Monroe County Democratic Committee has chosen a new chairwoman.

On Wednesday night, the party picked Jamie Romeo, who has been executive director of the party since January.

She previously worked as chief of staff for former State Senator Ted O’Brien until he was defeated by Republican Rich Funke last fall.

Romeo also worked on O’Brien’s Senate campaigns and previously was staff director for the Democrats in the Monroe County Legislature.

The 30 year old Romeo replaces Dave Garretson who resigned after he was just elected last September  as chairman of the committee.  He cited  health and family reasons when he announced  earlier this month he would be stepping down.
