The town of Irondequoit has a new supervisor. Democrat  Adam Bello was officially sworn- in to office on Wednesday to the seat previously held by Republican Mary Joyce D’Aurizio.

Bello is joined by two other Democrats who ran with him for the town board in November, and he says the fact they have known each other for years should help them get acclimated quickly to the business of running town government.

He says there are a few projects they will need to keep an eye on from the start.

"One of the first projects we're going to do is make sure that is successful, and that we continue and that there's no bumps in the road in building a library. We're also going to continue to support some new developments and projects in town, projects such as I-Square, which is doing very well right now, and obviously we're going to have to deal with the challenges facing us at MedleyCentre. "

The 33 year old Bello previously worked for the District Attorney, and before that, for the Monroe County Democratic Committee.
