The public boat launch at the Irondequoit Bay Marine Park in Sea Breeze has been closed temporarily, due to rising safety concerns.
That according to Town Supervisor Dave Seeley, who says that the town consulted with the NYS Office of Parks.
Canoes and Kayaks will still be permitted to launch from the park, but may not access the docks or ramp.
Seeley says the launch has become flooded with debris and much of it is now under water, and that poses a safety risk.
