COMIDA, the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency, has approved incentives for several local projects  including sales and mortgage tax exemptions  for a new hotel that is part of the College Town Project near the University of Rochester.

The incentives will help that $18 million project which involves the construction of a 136 room hotel. It will operate as a Hilton Garden Inn and it's expected to create 50 jobs over the next three years.

Other projects getting incentives from COMIDA include conversion of a Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Greece to the Fairfield Inn brand. And the agency also is providing incentives for  North American Breweries which plans to add some equipment at the Genesee Brewery.
