Hundreds of people gathered at the Main St. bridge and other locations in downtown Rochester on Friday night for the July 4th celebration.
The RPO performed patriotic favorites just before the big fireworks display, and earlier in the evening the local band Shine also performed.
There were a number of other fireworks celebrations in towns all over the area, with a cool, clear night making it easier to view some spectacular displays.
