Officials cut the ribbon Wednesday on the new Holy Rosary Apartments, a project of Providence Housing Development Corporation.
The former Holy Rosary parish campus houses 35 affordable apartments.
The project also includes the construction of 25 homes in the neighborhood.
Mayor Tom Richards says this is part of the city's four focused investment areas, and the investment makes a difference because neighborhoods need centers like Holy Rosary.
The Low Income Housing Tax Credit provided nearly 10-million dollars for the 15-million dollar project on the Holy Rosary parish campus.
