The Hilton Superintendent of Schools is retiring. David Dimbleby, who has led the district since 2005 and spent more than 30 years working in the district will retire at the end of this year.
Dimbleby says that as superintendent, he has "had the privilege and good fortune to work with a progressive and supportive Board of Education, a high quality, student-centered administrative team, and a dedicated, collaborative group of teachers and staff who place the interest of students above their own."
Prior to becoming superintendent, Dimbleby served as a principal, assistant principal and special education teacher in Hilton.
A search for a new superintendent will be underway soon and officials hope to have a new leader for the district by next January.
